The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has recently welcomed Mimin Mintarsih to their kitchens as their new Executive Pastry Chef. She has come to Bali direct from a three-year stint as Executive Pastry Chef with Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa Jordan.

Born and educated in Sukabumi – Indonesia, Mimin has spent most of her career working at luxury properties in the Middle East. She brings 18 years of creative experience to her newest role, specifically in the highly skilled areas of baking and pastry production. As a culinary artisan, Mimin is expected to take the desserts and other baked goods on offer at the resort’s distinctive dining venues to whole new level. Her feminine eye for detail, commitment to team work and refusal to accept second best are all defining characteristics that will serve her well.  With a passion for pushing boundaries, Mimin will be looking to revitalize the whole afternoon tea experience currently available daily at the Lobby Bar & Lounge. She is eager to familiarize herself with the island of Bali and use her findings as a source of inspiration.

“We are delighted to have Mimin as part of our team. She is an energetic and engaging force to be reckoned with who will certainly be a positive role model to many of our younger associates. I guarantee that she is going to wow us all by putting out sweet treats that look just as good as they taste,” says Executive Chef of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, Manoj Rawat.
