Cheers to Nine Years Gala Dinner Celebrating The St Regis Bali Resort Anniversary with a Smile

On Friday, 27 October 2017, The St. Regis Bali Resort held their Cheers to Nine Years Gala Dinner, in celebration of their ninth anniversary. The resort first opened its door on 15 September 2008 and have been the pinnacle of luxury hospitality on the island.

The Gala event started with a one-hour sunset cocktail at the magnificent beachfront Cloud Nine Chapel. Guests were invited to taste The St. Regis signature cocktail like Bali Mary and Bloody Mary, before seating down at the table, setup at the Cloud Nine Chapel deck area. The dinner was opened with a speech from Nico Braunwalder, Hotel Manager of The St. Regis Bali Resort. Jeane Niode, Fundraising and Administration Manager of Smile Train Indonesia, represented the foundation expressing their gratitude for The St. Regis Bali Resort’s support. The event officially started with a signature St. Regis Ritual, the champagne sabrage by 9 sommeliers of the resort, led by the resort’s Chief Sommelier and Kayuputi’s Restaurant Manager, Harald Wiesmann.

As Bonita & the hus BAND played a jazz rendition of Nat King Cole’s ‘Smile’, guests were started to be presented with the 9 exquisite courses menu including a dessert by talented guest Chef Farah Quinn paired with exceptional wines from Frankland Estate, a five-star winery in Western Australia. In between the courses, guests were invited to bid on the silent auction offering stay voucher from The St. Regis Bangkok, The St. Regis Singapore, The St. Regis Langkawi and The St. Regis Bali Resort as well as a precious Bvlgari Gold Pendant presented by WAN Signature Jewelry. The proceeds of the silent auction will be entirely donated to Smile Train Indonesia, helping children with cleft lip and palate problem, their beautiful smile back.

Guests were also showered with exciting door prizes such as stay voucher from Keraton at The Plaza, a Luxury Collection Hotel Jakarta; The Westin Jakarta, The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel Jakarta; and the newly opened Marriott Yogyakarta Hotel. As well as premium wines from Dimatique, Bali Wein, Hatten Wines, Bali Buana Cakra, Pratama Agung Niaga and Dewata Sukses Perkasa. The evening was finalized with a fireworks show while all guests raised their glass and toasted to nine years of exquisite living and more to come for The St. Regis Bali Resort.
