Antique Enjoyment

Sitting alongside a gently flowing river in the seaside village of Pererenan in south Bali, Villa Kavaya is a large, elegant, four-bedroom colonial-style villa worthy of the very best holidays.

Tastefully decorated with selected antiques and recycled teak wood finishes, Villa Kavaya is just a five minute drive from the beach, and is a haven of tranquility with a vast lawned garden and a large infinity swimming pool as its centerpiece, around which guests can spread out and relax in extreme comfort.

Kavaya consists of four independent villa suites with en-suite bathrooms; three are located under the roof of the main building and the fourth is housed in a Gladak, an antique wooden house from Java that was carefully restored, rebuilt and placed at the foot of the garden. The en-suite bathrooms are large and have bathtubs and both indoor and outdoor showers, and all suites have their own LCD flatscreen TV with satellite channels and DVD players. The huge living & dining space can be air-conditioned on a hot summer’s day, but most of the time this won’t be necessary as you can open two wide sliding doors onto the veranda allowing air to circulate through the entire building. At one end of the living room you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a large island that also doubles as a bar. On the other side of the room, sits a lounge with a large TV to relax and in between there is a dining table to comfortably seat 10 people.

Villa Kavaya is all about oudoor living, and a large veranda offers space for relaxing in the two hammocks or sitting around a coffee table and sipping an afternoon tea while watching out over the garden and swimming pool. You can also have your breakfast here on a round wooden table. A unique feature is the wooden Joglo at the end of the swimming pool where you can have a barbecue or an afternoon nap in the Chinese opium bed.

The villa is fully staffed with butlers, housekeepers, security and a chef to take care of every wish you may have. Take the plunge and see for yourself.
